DRIVING INSTRUCTIONS TO LA FLORETTAZ CAMP
Departure point La Chat school. Cross the A 1 motorway direction Divonne and take the first right filter direction Bogis and Crassier. Arrive Crassier. On a tight bend turn right direction La Rippe (not right turn to Borex!). After a few hundred metres turn right direction Cheserex. Towards the end of Cheserex village turn left direction La Dole, La Florettaz, Abbaye de Bonmont. You will see a large VW garage on the La Florettaz road just near this junction. After 1.2 km you arrive in La Florettaz. Drive through La Florettaz. Drive 300 metres after leaving La Florettaz and turn right direction Abbaye de Bonment. After 50 metres you will see an earth parking area on your left. Park here.At the far end of the parking area there is a rough track on your left. Follow the track for 200 metres – you have arrived at the camp area.
CAMP SITE ‘LA RIPPE’
From motorway A1, leave at junction Coppet/Divonne, taking direction Divonne, or from La Chat/Coppet direction, cross AI direction Divonne.
After 50 yards over the junction take right hand filter lane direction St Cergue/La Rippe.
Continue for 3 km into Crassier. Just past Shell garage on your left, turn right to St Cergue/La Rippe. Do not turn right direction Borex, this is on the same junction.
Continue for 2 km through La Rippe. First junction in La Rippe – go straight across, next juction in La Rippe, keep to your left (straight on).
500 yards out of La Rippe turn left on corner, direction Route des Montagnes/Colonies.
Continue 600 yards (don’t turn left into parking) until you see parking for Colonies on your left and right. If you are leaving your car overnight, leave it here.
For ‘drop off’ – continue past Colonies parking for 200 yards and look for dirt track entrance on your left. This is drop off site.
Camp is 100 yards down the dirt track.
CHAMONIX
Glacier Hike
• Drive to Chamonix, continue on the main road crossing the railway level crossing by the station for the Mer de Glace at the roundabout 200m later go straight on av de Mont Blanc.
• On passing the hotel Alpina keep going and the road bends to the left (Allee Rector Payot) and 200 m further you find the underground parking Saint Michel on right hand side , church on left hand side.
• On leaving the parking you cross the road and seeing the church walk round to the other side which is the Place de L’eglise . The Compagnie des Guides de Chamonix is in the old building next to the church and across the road from the tourist office we meet in the place in front of the church and Guides office.
Climbing
• When you arrive at the entrance of the tunnel, continue for 1 km to a roundabout .
• Turn left into Ave de Courmayeur after crossing the railway turn left onto Avenue Ravanel Rouge D243.
• After a short distance, the name changes to Route Des Gaillands. Continue on this road parallel to the railway until you come to a lake (lac des Anglais).
• There is parking to the right and a rock face this is where the climbing is.
SATIGNY
• Take the first turning off the autoroute after the airport, direction Meyrin
• Continue on this road “Route de Meyrin” to the traffic lights at the Church and Cafe de la Place
• Straight on through the lights past Hospital de la Tour on your left.
• At the traffic lights at the bottom of the hill, turn left, direction Satigny Russin.
• At the entrance to Satigny turn left off the roundabout, continuing on past the station and straight on at the next roundabout then under the railway.
• The road now starts to descend, and after a few hundred meters on the right there is a sign for the Scout centre and a small almost hidden entrance.
• After entering the site, please park cars on the left after the rope and wooden gateway the camping ground is to the right through the trees.
BASSIN CAMPSITE
The Campsite is at Grid Ref: 5037 1503, located 7.75km North West of Bassins.
1) From the School, follow AutoRoute, direction Lausanne.
2) Take the Gland/Vich exit.
3) At the exit turn left and drive to Vich.
4) In Vich follow signs to Begnins.
5) In Begnins follow signs to St Cerge/Bassins.
6) A few kilometers after Begnins, just before a bridge, take the right fork and follow the signs to Marcharuz/Bassins.
7) Keep following the signs to Bassins.
8) In Bassin drive up through village and look for sign to Route Des Montagnes.
9) Take this turning and note your kilometer reading. The distances below are measured from here.
10) 0.3km Take right fork, keep following the Rte Des Montagnes. Look ahead you will see a large green food Silo with STS on its side.
11) 0.5km Pass the green Silo.
12) 1.1km Take left fork and keep following Rte Des Montagnes.
13) 1.7km Small tracks to right and left. Keep straight on main road.
14) 3.0km Pass a private camp site on right.
15) 3.7km Pass farm on right Les Bagnonet.
16) 5.8km Keep straight on. Do not take turn to Les Frasse.
17) 6.8km Keep straight on. Do not take turn to Le Crot.
18) 7.4km Keep straight on. Do not take turn to Mondion.
19) 8.1km Pass sign “Parc Jurassien Vaudois”.
20) 8.4km Campsite on left. Stop here!
Note If you reach a split in road with a sign to Les Pralets and La Bassine, you have gone too far. Turn around and go back 0.8km.

VERSOIX WOODS.
• From Ferney take the direction of Colley Bossy pass the customs and go straight on at two roundabout turn left at the third.
• After crossing the A1 follow the road for approx 1 km and on the right hand bend which is also a junction take the road signed Golf de Vielle Batie This road has a hidden cross road in the trees.
• Caution continue to the next cross road turn right signed no through road the camp site is on the right just before the bridge, parking is just passed the bridge.
From the Versoix sports centre
• Direction Geneve straight on at the roundabout continue on this road under the A1 after crossing the Versoix river the road climbs.
• At the top of the climb take the road signed Golf de Vieille Batie. This road has a hidden cross road in the trees
• Caution continue to the next cross road turn right signed no through road the camp site is on the right just before the bridge, parking is just passed the bridge.
