Camp outs are a big part of Troop 130 and the scouting movement in general. It is important that scouts try to come to as many camp outs and events as possible, as these events are when scouts can improve their skills and leadership the best. Skills that are taught in the troop meetings (in a classroom environment) need to be reinforced and practiced in the outdoors.

Camping trips are a fun way to learn new skills, bond as a patrol, and advance through Ranks and Merit Badges.
