Troop Meetings
The Troop normally meets at La Chat, on alternative Mondays. Due to construction work on the new Sports complex the meeting location within the school may not always be in the same room, you will be advised of any changes in advance. Each meeting is based on a different theme put forward by the senior scouts such as; skill sessions, advancements, camping, first aid, etc Meetings are informative and offer the scouts an opportunity to learn new and useful skills that help scouts advance through the ranks. Each meeting also includes a more light-hearted activity or game. Scouts are essentially responsible for arriving on time, wearing their uniform and being prepared with their scout handbook, a pencil and paper to all meetings.
Patrols
The Troop is divided into Patrols; each Patrol consists of 5-8 scouts and is lead by a Patrol Leader and Assistant Patrol Leader. These Leaders are scouts who have normally reached the rank of First Class or above.
Scoutmaster
Holds overall responsibility for the running of the Troop and tries to ensure the Scouts are helped to advance and to find Scouting interesting and exciting. The Scoutmaster is normally a parent, can be either male or female or a volunteer with Scouting experience and / or enthusiastic about Scouting.
Assistant Scoutmaster
Assists the Scoutmaster in all aspects of the work involved in running the Troop, he/she makes sure Scouts are helped to advance and also takes over when the Scoutmaster is unavailable for meeting or events. Assistant Scoutmasters can take on the responsibility of certain groups of Scouts, i.e. new Scouts, older Scouts etc.
Senior Patrol Leader (SPL)
Members of the Troop elect an experienced Scout who has achieved the rank of Life to this position. He helps organize and takes charge of Troop and Patrol Leader meetings, gives help and advice to the Scouts and the Patrol Leaders.
Assistant Senior Patrol Leader (ASPL)

Patrol Leaders (PL)
Patrol Leaders, normally experienced Scouts with the rank of First Class or above, are responsible for the discipline, organization and coordination of their Patrol within the Troop. PLs are also required to help and motivate new Scouts to learn about Scouting and advance; they are required to attend regular PLC (Patrol Leader Council) meetings with the SPL and Scoutmaster.
Assistant Patrol Leader (APL)
Works with the Patrol Leader and takes over the PL responsibilities when the PL is unable to attend meetings or events.
Court of Honour (C of H)
This is the highlight of each term and a very enjoyable social occasion with a Pot Luck Dinner for the Scout and all his family. Scouts who have advanced in rank or have earned Merit Badges receive their awards from the Scoutmaster in front of their proud and supportive family. This event is held three times a year normally at the end of each school term.
