Dear Pack 130 Families,
 
We are organising our 2010 annual winter weekend  for the 22nd of January in the KISC centre in Kandersteg. – a very traditional alpine resort in the Bernese Oberland, around 2 ½ hours drive from Geneva.  Pack 130 stays in the International Scout Centre – built on a site chosen personally by Baden-Powell.

We arrive on Friday night after school, in time for a light meal, and then settle into our dormitory accommodation – boys and dads room together in den order, and mums and sisters together in dorms or smaller 3 bed rooms (those are allocated to those with young children).
 
You have a choice of sheets and blankets provided by the centre, or you can bring your own sleeping bags.
 
Depending on what people want to do we can organize a few groups of guided skiers on the Saturday or people can ski in dens or families. There will be a ski race organized during the Saturday for all those who want to take part.  We will have a meal together in the evening including a short pack meeting.
 
Then we will either go sledging, skating or curling (choice available) in Kandersteg village.  There will be a DVD available in the Scout Centre for the younger ones that you don’t want to go out so late.

Sunday morning, ski another half/full day or try another outdoor activity e.g. snowshoeing, sledging – good run available from the ski slopes back to the village (too steep & scary for very little ones) . . . . .  or you can set off back home.

It’s always been a great weekend whatever the weather so please join us! Fill out the attached booking form, and send it back to your den leader.  Cash payment needed at the Pinewood Derby 7th November meeting.  That will be the last opportunity to pay and confirm your registration.
