Blue & Gold Dinner
The next big pack event is Blue & Gold – 20 March.
It will take place on: Saturday, 20 March 6-9.30pm Founex Salle Communale (this is a new venue)
Theme:
Moments that Changed the World
Skits should be visual, vibrant, loud and no longer than 3 minutes - we will visit the Salle shortly to see what accoustics will be like but assume voices will not be heard very well.
Catering:
As in previous years, each den is to cater their own food and drink – finger food works best savoury and sweet. There will be some drinks available to buy which were left over from the Pinewood Derby (water, coke, ice tea, juices). We will provide table covers and napkins but please provide your own plates/cutlery/cups.
Decorations:
Den numbers will be posted on the tables. Each den will decorate their own tables. We will decorate the salle with some balloons and provide the program of the evening.
Raffle/Tombola:
As many of you know the raffle and tombola is the single biggest opportunity to raise funds for our chosen charity Rainbow4Kids, last year we raised 10,000chf for the chosen charity. Attached is a letter requesting help from the international community to provide raffle and tombola, french version to folllow shortly, please personalise the letters as necessary. Specifically, raffle prizes are larger higher value items/baskets (eg,health care products/visits/entry tickets) and the tombola is a ‘quick win’ cheaper prizes (eg, t shirts/books/keyrings etc.). We need approx 800 prizes which collectively should be quite achievable.
Charity Request:
Rainbow4Kids would like to receive hardback childrens books which they will be taking by hand to Ethiopia to help with the English education of children. Hard back early readers and chapter books would be best (not picture books or novels).
Immediate next steps by all dens:
1) Please give us an indication of how many from your den will be attending – include siblings/parents/visitors (no pets!)
2) Prepare your skit with your den - 3 min max – let us know your skit title
3) Request raffle and tombola prizes – each den prepare a raffle basket AND request international community donations for the raffle and tombola(letter attached). Also attached, we have taken the names of previous donators and assigned them to a den to avoid duplicate requests. This however is not an exhaustive list so please use your contacts to find as many prizes as possible. Please let us know what you have when you receive it. Your energy here is critical to the success of the funds being raised for our chosen charity. It would be great to achieve more than 10,000chf this year as we are a significantly larger pack.
4) Provide your den families with the attached invitation.
5) Provide hardback books for charity on the night
Due to the size of the pack, we will not be giving rank badges during the B&Q Banquet. This will be done at the Pack Mtgs.

Den 14 – Fire/Electricity
Please would you all actively work to raise as many tombola and raffle donation as possible. Whilst we gave you a suggested list of companies to ask, this is no way exhaustive, so please use your contacts to maximise the prizes. Remember this is our
biggest charity fund raiser of the year.
Please ensure your den families have received the invitation and let us know how many people altogether from your den (incldg, parents/children/cubs) will be attending.
