Bridges for Peace

We have received the following contact from a pack in Hong Kong, iif your Den would be interested in participating in this activity please contact Martha by clicking on the link below.

" I have either met you at the jamboree or have been referred to you to solicit participation in our cub scout pack’s centenary project – Bridges for Peace.  We already have 8 countries and wish to increase the numbers to 12 representing all those countries that our boys have an affiliation with.

We will be sending out a questionnaire devised by our cubs containing questions such as – what does your uniform look like, what are your favorite games to each overseas pack and hope to receive their responses by late November.  Then, we will reproduce enough sets for each participating pack and send out complete scrap books that they can then use to learn about their fellow cubs around the world. Our deadline is BP’s birthday in February.  Currently we have: Australia, Canada, England, Ireland, Kenya, Scotland, USA and HK committed.  We will be producing special blanket badges for all the boys who participate as well.

If you think this is something that you would like to participate in, please let me know as soon as you can and we will include you in the distribution in October.

If you have any other questions, please do not hesitate to contact Martha aka Akela, 150th Cub Scouts St. Stephen’s, Stanley, Hong Kong"
