Firstly – well done everyone for another great Blue and Gold banquet!

Please don’t forget we have a Pack Meeting Friday week, on 31st March.
Below is a draft agenda.

Please let me know if your Den has any ‘show and tell’ for the meeting. Also, any volunteers for a skit or a song, a cheer or a shout? Many of you probably now have Den meetings before this next Pack meeting – so here is your Dens chance for fame and glory!

Don’t forget to send Sarah your ‘awards’ needs.

Shona will lead a ‘marbles competition’ as the main event.

Any info items we need to manage – next events etc? eg Pinewood Derby?

Bob will shortly confirm date for committee meeting.

Blue and Gold Thankyou

Dear Den Leader,
On behalf of Janet and myself, I would like to thank you very much for taking part in the 2006 Blue & Gold Banquet.
And to thank you for organising the participation of your den families, and for the hard work you put in on the skit presentations, which were great fun and hugely popular with the boys.

We owe a Big Thanks to Mike Hill for his brilliant work as stage manager, and to Ron Sikkema for his help organising the dens back stage.

I am sure you will also want to join us in thanking the following people for their kind help in organising the Blue & Gold this year.
Room Set up/Clear up
We are indebted to:
Gintas and Ilaria Vilkelis, Sarah Callahan, & Johanna Hartley for their extensive and long hours of help with setting up the tables and decorating the room. Without them, the cupboard was bare.
To Janet Hill for her brilliant choice of table and room decorations, and her inspiring leadership in taking the initiative to get things done.
To Rob Ryder for Front of House, David Barrett for an excellent Program design and production. To Ania Grobicki for her brilliant management of the Dessert Competition, and to her judges – Thank you.
To Shona and Deidre and their dens for help with the clean up and recycling – was ever a clean-up done so well so fast? Thank you.

 
Charity Raffle
A pharmaceutical company approached by a Den 5 parent has made an anonymous donation of Sfr 500, which will be paid into the Pack’s bank account directly. Thank you to the person concerned.
The sale of raffle tickets raised Sfr 1,366.5, which will be transferred to the Pack’s bank account this evening. The total raised was therefore Sfr 1,866.5. Thank you to everyone for raising a record amount. 
A huge thank you to
  • Johanna Hartley for arranging the gift of all the prizes
  • Brian Vanderpool and his Scout team for selling the tickets
  • Sarah Ryder for organising the Raffle draw
  • Peter Rees and Bob Dietz for winning ticket announcements and ticket verification. Thank you.
Again, on behalf of Janet and myself, I am sure you would like to join me in thanking Peter Rees for his wonderful hosting of the event. Thank you, Peter. You did another great job.
